Campaign Team

Ursula Rozum, Campaign Manager

Born, raised and rooted in Syracuse, NY, Ursula Rozum, Campaign Manager, has long ties to the Westside of the city where her parents first settled when they arrived from Poland in 1982. Ursula has worked on campaigns with the Green Party since 2010, inspired by the Green's commitment to banning hydrofracking. Ursula's political interests are diverse and she seeks political organizing work that builds solidarity. Ursula ran for Congress in 2012, winning 8% of the vote. Ursula is passionate about meeting every, single voter in the 2nd District.

"Frank has a big heart and a big vision for a better world. He is not afraid to speak his mind and roll up his sleeves to get things done. Syracuse needs a Green like Frank on the City Council!"

Pete Perry, Media Specialist

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Pete is a peace and social justice activist. He has volunteered on numerous political campaigns, from local to national. His first was Jesse Jackson's 1984 presidential campaign when he was 14. He currently lives in the Near West Side.  Before moving to Syracuse, Pete was on the steering committee of the DC Statehood Green Party.

"Frank has already been heavily engaged in his neighborhood, particularly the West Side Residents' Coalition, and is dedicated to improving the lives of Syracusans."

William (Billy) Gunger, Super Intern

William was born in Syracuse and raised in suburban Manlius, NY. He first became involved in social politics as a high school senior, calling New York State senators insisting on a 'yes' vote for the Marriage Equality Act. Frank Cetera's City Council campaign will be the first William has worked on since registering Green in 2013. William is a political science major at Alfred University, seeking to gain experience by interacting with Green politicians and the constituents of Syracuse's Second District.

"Frank Cetera is an inspiration for young adults like myself to become politically active and community-minded. I see him making big impacts in his neighborhood and I believe he's the only candidate who can really help Syracuse grow again."

Simone_Campaign_Profile_Pic.jpgSimone Richmond, Volunteer Coordinator

After knocking on doors for the Cetera campaign, Simone Richmond is excited to join the team as volunteer coordinator. Her background is in grassroots advocacy, educational and electoral campaigns against militarism and for the environment, with groups including California Peace Action and Global Green. Having been awed and inspired by Frank’s work as a community organizer, she looks forward to seeing him co-create a council that works with the community, against poverty and for safety and empowerment. She is grateful to be working with this passionate and dedicated team, who are working tirelessly to elect Frank in order to connect and empower citizens and create a Syracuse that works for #Allofus.
