Meet Frank Cetera

Dear Ursula --

If you’ve been involved with the Green Party in Upstate New York, then you’ve probably met Frank Cetera. Frank is running for Syracuse City Council and he is possibly the most qualified Green candidate to run for office in Syracuse in recent years (keep reading about why Frank is the Green candidate to bet your money on this year because at the end of this email, I will be asking you to donate to Frank's campaign!)

Frank Cetera photoFrank is deeply involved in our local community, creating the better world we know is possible. As Board President of our local community development credit union, Frank is a champion of cooperation. He is best known locally for his tireless efforts to promote community gardens, food forests, and permaculture. Frank has volunteered on Green Party campaigns every year since 2010. As candidates go, Frank could not be better prepared. And we need a Green like Frank on the Syracuse City Council.

Democrats dominate Syracuse City Hall and Republicans govern the rest of Onondaga County. What has that brought us? A city where 50% of children live in poverty. Frank is running against an incumbent district Councilor from a local political dynasty, a young Democrat recently profiled by local media as the “silent Councilor” for his lack of engagement. Meanwhile, Frank’s neighborhood, Syracuse's Near Westside, is one of the poorest census tracts in the entire U.S. with a poverty rate of 68.2%.

The ultimate goal of Frank's City Council platform is a dignified life for everyone in Syracuse. Raising the minimum wage to a living wage. Local hiring in public works. Practical ideas to make our neighborhoods safer, like cleaning up syringe litter and stopping the Baken oil bomb trains.

We have a tried-and-true plan for Frank to win this election: talking to voters one-on-one and sharing his commitment to make Syracuse a city that works for all of us. It won’t be easy and the only way we can win is if our friends and political comrades go all in to support Frank.

Please make a donation today -- whatever you can give, it will help print literature and lawn signs and rent space for upcoming Community Listening Forums across the district. Our fundraising goal is $3000 by July 11.

Can’t give today? Please sign up to volunteer! We need your help to make sure that all eligible voters in this election know that Frank is the MOST qualified candidate to serve Syracuse as 2nd District Councilor.

Frank and our campaign team are running to win. Please donate – we can’t do this without you!

Thank you,

Ursula Rozum
